Caberfeidh Horizons are looking for a new chairperson to join their board and board trustees.
The Opportunity
The successful candidates will gain expertise of participating, supporting and advising the current board. As a board member you will play a critical role in the future governance of the charity. You will help to oversee the activities of the charity ensuring it remains compliant with regulations, help to set strategic development and help to shape its future.
This is a great opportunity for individuals with a passion for supporting our cause and gives the potential for the development of new/existing skills, to meet new people and support our community and to enhance the lives of those we support.
Skills, experience, knowledge
We are looking for candidates to have knowledge, experience or skills in the following areas:
- Leadership
- Legal background or knowledge
- Human resources
- Strategic planning
- Financial/financial management
- IT
- Charity governance
- Trustee or committee roles
- Fundraising
Time commitment
The board currently meets on a monthly basis for approximately 1.5/2 hours.
There may also be some added commitments to ensure appropriate governance and development of
the charity.
Attendance at AGM and EGM if necessary.
Trustees may also be part of committee sub groups and so may have a further meet throughout the
year.
